MIPCOM: Los Angeles-based marketing firm Elumines is here in Cannes with the first fruits of its move in original content development.
After joining forces with Kansas-based charity The Roetheli Lil’ Red Foundation, Elumines is shopping a documentary called The 25,000 Mile Love Story (1×88′).
Described by Elumines as “inspirational”, the film is about husband and wife team Serge Roethli and Nicole Roethli, who run the equivalent of the circumference of the Earth through six continents and 37 countries to raise money for and awareness of children’s issues.
Their Run For Kids, which took five years to complete, raised about US$400,000 to support children’s centres in many of the countries they visited. The film documents their effects and the consequences.
Aside from its foray into documentary production, Elumines offers marketing and social media advice to clients including MTV, Hallmark Channel, Virgin Records and Endemol.
